B2B SasS BusinessCanvas raises additional funding.. “Accelerating global expansion”

Business Canvas, the South Korea-based operator of Typed, a document collaboration tool, today announced that it has closed its Series A2 round with additional funding. The funding was led by IBK Capital, Won Asset Management, and angel investors Han Ki Yong.
The company previously raised KRW 5 billion in January from Sui Generis Partners, Shinhan Venture Investment, Infobank, Kakao Ventures, and Shinhan Capital.
“In addition to the new products and services that BusinessCanvas is currently preparing to launch, the company’s achievements and confidence in researching and developing generative AI-related products that meet the needs of consumers is the reason for the additional investment,” said Hanjae Kim, CEO of Sui Generis Partners, who led the investment.
BusinessCanvas will use the funding to accelerate its global expansion through aggressive talent acquisition.
“In addition to Typed, the new products we are preparing to launch have been well appreciated by investors,” said Kim Tae-young, Chief Financial Officer of Business Canvas. “We plan to create synergies with Typed through the launch of new products.”
“Based on the successful A2 investment, we will be able to accelerate the establishment of a global base in the second half of 2023,” said Woojin Kim, CEO of Business Canvas. “We will acquire more global users and stand out as a representative SaaS startup in Korea.”
Founded in July 2020, Business Canvas operates Typed, a documentation tool with global users in 184 countries. Last year, Typed was named the No. 1 “Product of the Day” by Product Hunt, a popular software ranking site, and became the first Korean SaaS startup to be nominated for the Golden Kitty Awards.
