South Korea-based Socialerus acquires Japanese YouTube big data company Creator Ninja

Socialerus, a South Korea-based YouTube big data analytics platform and channel exchange, announced today that it has acquired Creator Ninja, Japan’s largest YouTube big data company, through an equity exchange. The purchase price is undisclosed.
Socialerus, a YouTube big data collection and analysis platform launched in 2017, publishes the annual K-YouTube Annual Report and provides YouTube big data to many government agencies, broadcasters, and large corporations, and is expanding its social IP trading business based on the YouTube Channel Exchange launched last year.
Creator Ninja holds Japan’s largest YouTube big data and has been operating Tubers service since 2016. It provides YouTube analytics data to Japan’s leading broadcasters, Rakuten, and media advertising agencies. The company’s major shareholders include East Venture and Influencer Bank.
Yang Hyo-wook, CEO of Socialus, said, “With this acquisition, we will become the largest YouTube big data provider in Asia.” “Based on this, we will grow into a global service that covers not only Japan but also YouTube big data in Southeast Asia. In particular, the YouTube Channel Exchange, which launched last year and has been showing remarkable results, will be expanded to Japan and Southeast Asia, and we expect an explosive increase in transaction volume.”
