AM Management Raises Pre-Series A Funding for Digital Asset Solutions from DeSpread

AM Management, a Korean company specializing in quant-based digital asset solutions, has secured pre-SeriesA funding from the Web3 consulting firm DeSpread Research (DeSpread). In this round, Lee Shin-hye, a partner at the global digital asset fund GBTC, also participated as an individual investor.
Through this investment, DeSpread plans to unveil customized asset management strategies in collaboration with AM Management for companies requiring such services.
As a Web3 consulting entity, DeSpread offers a variety of market entry strategy consulting services targeting Web3 companies aiming to penetrate the Asian market, particularly those focusing on Solana, Polygon, and Stacks.
AM Management has been providing its quant-based digital asset solutions globally, notably being the second company worldwide to supply such solutions to the global cryptocurrency exchange OKX since last year. It also ranks first and second in overall strategy among the quant firms onboarded in the OKX quant market.
Lee Shin-hye, a partner at GBTC, explained her investment rationale: “As the virtual asset market expands, interest from both institutional and individual investors is steadily increasing. Despite the recent anxiety over custodial asset management, non-custodial digital asset platforms like AM Management can cater to the evolving needs for asset management.”
Kim Ho-jung, CEO of AM Management, remarked, “This funding round will serve as a springboard for us to explore overseas markets through the recruitment of global talents. We are thrilled about the collaboration opportunity with DeSpread, a frontrunner in the Web3 consulting domain in Korea.” He further added, “We will actively engage in areas that can support the expanding market.”
Yae Jun-yeong, CEO of DeSpread, stated, “The rise of DeFi (Decentralized Finance) services and decentralized exchanges (DEXs) has necessitated a variety of asset management strategies for each service. We anticipate that our collaboration with AM Management will meet the demands of these companies.”
Last year, AM Management introduced AM NAVI, a non-custodial platform for digital and global financial assets. This platform stands out from other virtual asset custodial services by enabling users to manage their asset portfolios transparently.
