Korea Accelerator Association and Funding Box Host ‘Seed of Bravery’ Asian Launch Event

The Korea Accelerator Association, in collaboration with the European accelerator Funding Box, co-hosted the Asian launch event for the “Seeds of Bravery” project on the 20th (local time) at the Estonia Business Hub. This project, supported by a 20 million euro (approximately 28.87 billion KRW) fund from the Europe Innovation Council (EIC) under the European Union, aims to assist Ukrainian technology experts and startups, with Funding Box overseeing its operations.
The event attracted over 50 attendees, including ambassadors from Estonia, Poland, Denmark, Luxembourg, and representatives from the Horizon Europe Union, as well as accelerators and global investment institutions. The Korea Accelerator Association signed a memorandum of understanding with Funding Box to support the European expansion of Korean startups, discover promising startups, facilitate global investment connections, encourage exchanges and cooperation between investors at home and abroad, and support employment and entrepreneurship for Ukrainian tech talents through the “Seeds of Bravery” project.
During the event, the Korea Accelerator Association committed to activities that facilitate collaboration with technical experts for the reconstruction of Ukraine and promote mutual exchanges between Korean startups and Ukrainian entrepreneurs as they venture into Europe.
Funding Box, a Europe-based accelerator and professional investment institution, holds over 10 billion euros (approximately 14.5 trillion KRW) in funds and specializes in managing open innovation and global startup communities.
Jeon Hwa-Seong, the chairman of the Korea Accelerator Association, stated, “The Korea Accelerator Association plans to continually forge active cooperation with foreign investment entities to broaden the global scope of South Korea’s startup ecosystem. Beyond mere agreements, we will engage in substantial activities, including exchanges and communications with domestic accelerators and the implementation of collaborative projects.”
