GLOUD Raises 3B KRW in Pre-Series A for Global Dental Digital Transformation Expansion
The South Korean dental digital transformation startup GLOUD has successfully raised KRW 3 billion in a pre-Series A funding round. Led by KB Investment, the round saw contributions from the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) and the Korea Social Investment Foundation. GLOUD intends to leverage this funding to further its expansion efforts in Southeast Asia and globally, focusing on client acquisition and service enhancement.
At the helm of GLOUD is CEO Ji Jin-woo, a dentist with a robust background in IT development, who has been pivotal in digitally transforming dental services and equipment. The company’s development journey spanned over two years, culminating in the launch of “Just Scan,” a digital oral scanning service that streamlines the management of dental prostheses. Targeting private clinics facing challenges in digital adoption, “Just Scan” offers a comprehensive solution encompassing scanner acquisition, training, and the ordering and manufacturing of dental prostheses.
GLOUD’s “Just Scan” service is revolutionizing the dental industry by supplying an integrated system that includes digital treatment workflows, device training, dental medical devices, and a cloud for medical data. It promises dental treatments within an hour, facilitated by devices capable of real-time prosthetic design and rapid production. Since its establishment in 2021, GLOUD has secured B2B contracts with several renowned domestic enterprises, such as NEOBIOTECH and DENTIUM.
CEO Ji Jin-woo expressed optimism following the investment, stating, “This funding round has reaffirmed the potential for GLOUD’s growth. From the outset, we have aimed our sights on the international market, and we are now more committed than ever to refine our products and technologies for a successful global launch.”
