ISKRA, a Korean Web3 blockchain gaming platform, has secured strategic investment from global blockchain investor Animoca Brands. This investment significantly strengthens ISKRA’s position as a global Web3 gaming platform. Furthermore, ISKRA plans extensive collaboration with Animoca Brands, including joint marketing initiatives aimed at activating Web3 game users. Animoca Brands is a global Web3 investment firm founded by Hong Kong blockchain investor Yat Siu.
Founded in 2022, ISKRA is a tech startup that operates a platform supporting everything from game launches to the sale of governance tokens, all based on blockchain technology. Following a seed investment round of approximately 52 billion KRW, ISKRA is expanding its Web3 gaming presence globally. Notably, ISKRA is undergoing a hub chain migration to “BASE,” the mainnet of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase, and has announced plans for restructuring its tokenomics and developing Layer 3.
Coinciding with its migration to the BASE chain, ISKRA will also launch an airdrop of 10 million ISK coins as a reward to its users. The company further plans bimonthly airdrops for governance tokens of the games it hosts. In addition, ISKRA is creating a new user activity-based reward system named “ActivityFi,” underscoring the importance of community engagement.
Lee Hong-gyu, CEO of ISKRA, expressed his enthusiasm about receiving strategic investment from Animoca Brands, a prominent global Web3 investment entity, saying, “We are thrilled to receive this strategic investment from Animoca Brands, which will help us continuously expand our Web3 content and strive to realize the vision and roadmap for ISKRA 2.0.”
