TRIPSODA Selected for TIPS Program, Secures Funding for Travel Tech Development
The South Korean travel community commerce platform, TRIPSODA, has been successfully selected for the TIPS program, a technology startup support initiative sponsored by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.TRIPSODA was recommended by SOPOONG Ventures, the operator of TIPS, and will receive up to 700 million KRW over the next two years to fund technology research and development as well as business integration.
TRIPSODA is a vertical travel platform startup that enables travelers to communicate, meet, and collaboratively purchase and experience adventure travel products.
Significantly, leveraging big data from its community, TRIPSODA has demonstrated its growth potential by successfully designing and launching adventure travel products for destinations like Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan.
Jo Won-il, CEO of TRIPSODA, stated, “The TIPS program will enable us to develop AI technology to support the development of travel products by TRIPSODA and our partner travel agencies.” He also expressed ambitions for the company’s future, adding, “We aim to become the most competitive travel platform capable of swiftly adapting to the rapidly changing needs of travelers.”
