Floatic Secures Final Investment in Pre-Series A Round from Hyundai ZER01NE
Floatic, a logistics robot solutions company based in South Korea, has successfully closed its pre-Series A bridge investment round with additional funding from Hyundai Motor Group’s ZER01NE. Previously, Floatic secured around KRW 5.2 billion in a pre-Series A bridge round led by Capstone Partners. With the recent contribution from Hyundai ZER01NE, this funding round is now complete, raising the company’s total investments to over KRW 10 billion.
Hyundai ZER01NE was one of the major investors in Floatic’s pre-Series A round in 2022. This latest investment is strategic, aimed at developing long-term synergies between the two companies.
Established in 2021, Floatic developed ‘Floware’, an autonomous robotics solution that optimizes picking processes in e-commerce logistics centers. Floware can be integrated into existing systems and become operational in about six weeks with minimal equipment and investment, boosting productivity by up to 3.5 times compared to manual operations.
Floatic designs and manufactures both the robot hardware and the software platform that manages and optimizes these tasks, enabling quick and flexible responses to a variety of logistics center demands. Having conducted field tests with major domestic corporations and third-party logistics (3PL) providers since last year, Floatic is gearing up for a significant market launch later this year, in collaboration with top logistics partners like POSCO DX and LogisALL.
A spokesperson from Hyundai ZER01NE explained, “Through this follow-up investment, our goal is to continue to grow Floatic as a key part of our portfolio. We aim to enhance our collaboration with group companies and partners, positioning Floatic as a future partner in Hyundai Motor Group’s robotics ventures.”
Chan Lee, CEO of Floatic, commented, “Hyundai ZER01NE has been a stalwart supporter of Floatic right from the start. Their continued investment reflects their alignment with our vision of addressing logistics challenges through specialized robots. Moving forward, we aim to keep providing innovative solutions to the logistics industry.”
