Delivus, a Korean company operating the AI logistics platform ‘Deli Rabbit’, has successfully raised KRW 14.6 billion in a Series B funding round. The investment was spearheaded by Hashed Ventures and included contributions from Laguna Investment, KDB, DB Financial Investment, with continued support from existing investors like HANA Ventures, BASS Investment, and KIMGISA LAB. To date, Delivus has accumulated KRW 22.4 billion in investments.
Delivus is an AI-based logistics startup offering guaranteed same-day delivery services at competitive costs. Leveraging proprietary AI and deep learning-based dynamic clustering technology, the company optimizes delivery routes by analyzing a variety of factors affecting delivery times. This innovative approach cuts the delivery process time in half compared to traditional courier services, allowing for quicker and more cost-effective deliveries and returns.
The ‘Deli Rabbit’ service, unique to Delivus, enables e-commerce companies to utilize their existing logistics centers while providing same-day delivery services within Seoul and its metropolitan area. Deliveries are completed within an average of seven hours, at costs comparable to regular courier services. This allows e-commerce platforms and companies with their own online stores to gain a new competitive edge. Notable users of the ‘Deli Rabbit’ service include Zigzag, Xex Mix, Always, and Musinsa.
Since its inception in 2022, ‘Deli Rabbit’ has been adopted by approximately 40 companies, with its sales in the first half of this year more than doubling compared to the same period last year. Since starting service in May 2022, the platform has maintained an on-time delivery rate of over 98%, significantly enhancing logistics performance for its customers. In particular, Zigzag Direct Delivery has seen its transaction volume double in 2023 after adopting ‘Deli Rabbit’.
Delivus plans to utilize this new investment to construct a state-of-the-art automated logistics hub capable of handling significant volumes and to further refine its AI-based technology for guaranteed delivery optimization. The expansion of the ‘Deli Rabbit’ service area is also planned.
Kim Seo-jun, CEO of Hashed Ventures and the round’s lead investor, remarked, “Delivus is leading the growth opportunities in the last mile delivery market, driven by the increasing need for rapid parcel delivery.” He praised the Delivus team, comprised of serial entrepreneurs and logistics experts, for their potential to transform the traditional growth approach of the industry, which has relied heavily on capital expenditures.
Kim Yong-jae, CEO of Delivus, expressed, “Through the ‘Deli Rabbit’ service, online shopping malls and e-commerce companies can provide rapid logistics services to their customers.” He emphasized that the recent investment will bolster Delivus’s technological capabilities and expand its delivery network, aiming to maximize customer satisfaction.
