MyRealTrip has made a strategic investment of 3 billion KRW(2.2 Million USD) in Creatrip, a South Korean startup that operates an inbound travel platform. This investment marks a significant step towards MyRealTrip’s goal of becoming a global platform that encompasses both domestic and international travel. By leveraging Creatrip’s content and infrastructure, MyRealTrip aims to provide convenient services and a variety of travel experiences for foreign tourists visiting Korea.

MyRealTrip has consistently invested in and acquired travel startups, expanding its services into various travel categories such as workcations, family (kids) trips, and K-content-themed travel.

Founded in 2016, Creatrip offers services in 14 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Italian, and Mongolian. As of July, it has established itself as a leading platform for inbound travel to Korea, with 60,000 daily visitors and 1.5 million monthly users from 230 countries.

Currently, Creatrip offers a comprehensive range of services related to travel in Korea, including ▲ reservations for popular restaurants, K-pop dance tours, studio photo shoots, craft workshops, beauty and medical services, concerts, and sightseeing tours ▲ accommodation bookings for hotels and pensions ▲ information and online applications for Korean language schools and domestic study programs ▲ essential financial services for travel and living in Korea, such as currency exchange, payments, and insurance.

Creatrip has particularly become an essential platform for foreign tourists, offering travel products tailored to those eager to experience Korea’s rapidly changing trends. The platform has seen rapid growth, especially in K-beauty and medical-related travel products.

Dong-gun Lee, CEO of MyRealTrip, stated, “This investment allows us to combine Creatrip’s expertise in the inbound travel market with MyRealTrip’s global travel service know-how.” He also mentioned plans to expand, particularly focusing on K-beauty and medical-related travel products and services, where Creatrip has shown significant strengths.

Hye-min Lim, CEO of Creatrip, added, “By successfully combining MyRealTrip’s extensive experience and impressive growth in the outbound travel market with our unique expertise in inbound travel, we are committed to creating synergy and taking a major step forward as a global travel platform.”
