Draftype, a provider of AI-powered solutions for creating brand models and producing content, has secured pre-Series A funding from Bluepoint Partners and Sparklabs, though the amount remains undisclosed.
Launched in November last year, Draftype has quickly demonstrated its innovative technology and market potential, securing investment in just eight months.
Draftype offers an online AI studio called “Draftype Studio,” enabling brands to create custom AI-generated models and produce a wide range of content, including product photos and marketing materials. Currently, over 3,500 small and mid-sized sellers, as well as major brands in industries such as fashion, beauty, and accessories, use the platform.
By utilizing AI, Draftype has significantly reduced the cost of brand model contracts and usage, which previously ranged from tens to hundreds of millions of won. Now, brands can access custom models for as little as KRW 50,000 (around USD 40) per month, allowing even smaller brands to engage in branding and marketing with their own models affordably.
In the current economic climate, where cost-cutting is critical, demand for Draftype’s solutions has surged. In the short term, brands can reduce production costs, and in the long term, they gain the flexibility to fully leverage their in-house AI-generated models, enhancing creative freedom and efficiency.
Daehee Kim, CEO of Draftype, commented, “We’re thrilled that this investment recognizes the value of our technology and business model. Draftype is not just about reducing costs; we’re fundamentally reshaping how brands are built and grown using AI. We’ll continue innovating to help more brands increase their value efficiently.”
With the funding, Draftype plans to focus on advancing its technology and expanding its service offerings. In the second half of this year, the company will launch fully automated custom model creation to improve customer experience. Next year, it will introduce video content creation and editing capabilities, evolving into a comprehensive AI studio.
Starting in 2025, Draftype plans to expand into Asian markets, beginning with Japan, as part of its vision to become a global leader in generative AI technology.
