Readi Robust Machine Raises $5.5M to Revolutionize Hydraulic Energy Reuse
Korea-based startup Readi Robust Machine, which specializes in hydraulic energy reuse systems for medium-sized excavators, has secured 7.4 billion KRW (approximately USD 5.5 million) in Series A funding.
The round was led by Quantum Ventures Korea, with participation from the Korea Development Bank(KDB), the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO), and Strong Ventures. This brings Readi Robust Machine’s total funding to 9.5 billion KRW (around USD 7 million).
Readi Robust Machine’s CEO, Jung Tae-rang, developed the ‘READiX’ system after more than a decade of research. This technology recaptures hydraulic energy typically wasted during the boom operations of excavators.
When installed on construction and agricultural machinery that uses hydraulic energy, READiX can reduce fuel consumption by up to 30% or increase operational speed, depending on the selected function. This not only offers economic benefits by cutting fuel use but also helps lower carbon emissions.
READiX can be installed regardless of the excavator’s power source—whether it’s diesel, electric, or hydrogen. Readi Robust Machine is gradually rolling out its fuel efficiency system to excavators operating in domestic waste treatment plants, scrap metal processing facilities, and construction sites.
The company plans to use the newly raised funds to expand its product line and ramp up sales efforts. It also aims to develop products that can be used with various types of equipment in the construction and agriculture sectors while strengthening its domestic and international marketing efforts to establish a leading brand image.
Jonghyun Yoo, Director at Quantum Ventures Korea, commented, “The system that recovers wasted hydraulic energy to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions aligns perfectly with the current trend toward carbon neutrality. We see strong growth potential in Readi Robust Machine because their unique technology meets an unmet market need.”
Jung Tae-rang, CEO of Readi Robust Machine, added, “This investment will help us accelerate our vision of providing energy efficiency solutions for all types of heavy equipment.”
