AIDIN ROBOTICS, a Korean specialist in robot force-torque sensors, has successfully raised 15 billion KRW (approximately 11.2 million USD) in Series B funding. Key investors in this round include Korea Investment Partners, POSCO Investment, CJ Logistics, Samsung Next, and GS Ventures, though the company’s valuation and investment specifics remain undisclosed. Previous Series A investors from 2022—DSC Investment, BNK Venture Investment, Kolon Investment, and FuturePlay—also participated, with FuturePlay providing continuous support from seed funding in 2020 through this Series B round.

This brings AIDIN ROBOTICS’ total raised capital to 20 billion KRW (around 15 million USD) since its seed stage in 2020. The new funds will be used to hire talent, develop new products, scale mass production, and explore global market opportunities.
Founded in 2019 as a spin-off from the ‘Robotics Innovatory’ lab within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University, AIDIN ROBOTICS builds on over two decades of research into ‘Field Sensing’ technology, with expertise in next-generation force sensing based on capacitance. The company’s multi-axis force-torque sensors, developed using this technology, are now in mass production and supplied to major corporations and research institutions both in Korea and abroad.
In addition, the company is expanding its customer base and business portfolio by developing a range of robot automation solutions, including work safety radar sensors and smart grippers, powered by force control technology.
CEO Choi Hyeok-ryeol commented, “This Series B investment is a significant recognition of our growth potential by a wide range of organizations and companies, providing strong momentum for our business development. Our force-torque sensors and solutions, ready for immediate use in the field, will help us advance sensing technology, enhance customer satisfaction, and further boost our corporate value.”
