AI company MARQVISION announced that it has raised $16 million in a Series A+ funding round and launched “Marq AI,” an integrated platform built on generative AI technology.
The investment round saw participation from new investors such as Altos Ventures, QuantumLight, Smilegate Investment, and Hillspring Investment, along with existing investors YCombinator and Atinum Investment. This brings MARQVISION’s total Series A round funding to $36 million.
Since the official launch of its services in Q1 2021, MARQVISION has seen over 30x revenue growth by Q1 of this year, surpassing $10 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in just under three years.
MARQVISION continues to expand its IP protection solutions, initially focused on counterfeit removal, with recent additions like its “Trademark Watch” service, which monitors attempts to file unauthorized trademarks in real time.
In addition to securing funding, MARQVISION launched its generative AI-powered platform, “Marq AI.” This new product integrates its previous services—”MARQ Commerce,” focused on counterfeit removal, and “MARQ Content,” designed for detecting illegal content—under one unified system, making use of generative AI to offer stronger protection for brands and content IPs while drastically reducing time and costs.
Marq AI’s features include a conversational assistant, an intelligent dashboard, and a fully automated content reporting process.
The conversational assistant collects evidence with over 99% accuracy from sellers offering counterfeit goods on social media platforms. By sending automated messages, it gathers information such as price, warranty availability, country of origin, and shipping details, which are then used as supporting evidence in determining the authenticity of products.
The intelligent dashboard provides brands with real-time feedback by detailing the AI’s reasoning behind suspect products, helping them tailor their detection and enforcement efforts more effectively.
Finally, the fully automated content reporting process handles everything from collecting website data to sending emails and filing reports to eliminate illegal content swiftly and efficiently.
Miles Weddle, Director of Strategic Operations at Denim Tears, one of MARQVISION’s key clients, shared, “After comparing various brand protection solutions, we chose MARQVISION for its modern and highly effective approach. MARQVISION has been a critical strategic partner in protecting the unique value of our brand from IP infringement threats.”
MARQVISION CEO Inseop Lee said, “As the world’s only IP infrastructure company, we aim to develop an all-in-one IP management system within the next two years that allows 1,000 brands and content companies to handle everything from IP protection to licensing. With Marq AI, we’re bringing generative AI into IP tasks, delivering unprecedented levels of efficiency and advancement in this field.”
MARQVISION’s solution utilizes AI technology to detect and respond in real-time to counterfeit products, unauthorized sales, illegal content, and online impersonation across 1,500 marketplaces in 180 countries.
