VoyagerX, an AI-based service startup, has secured KRW 16.5 billion (approx. USD 12.3 million) in funding. The investment was led by Intervest and Murex Partners.
Founded in 2017, VoyagerX previously raised KRW 30 billion (approx. USD 22.3 million) in Series A funding in 2021, backed by Altos Ventures, SBVA, and YellowDog. With this latest round, the company’s total funding now stands at KRW 46.5 billion (approx. USD 34.6 million).
VoyagerX is known for its continued growth through innovative AI-driven products such as Vrew, an AI-powered video editor; vFlat, a mobile scanner; and VOC Studio, a solution for customer service data analysis.
Vrew offers a seamless video editing experience with automatic subtitle generation and other AI-assisted features, steadily increasing in popularity. As of August 2024, Vrew’s paid subscribers have grown about 3.5 times over the past year. Meanwhile, vFlat, which provides high-quality AI-powered scanning and handwriting removal features, has seen its paid subscribers increase by nearly sixfold during the same period. Both services now boast over 30% of their user base from international markets, marking significant global success.
Investors have highlighted VoyagerX’s impressive growth potential and global expansion efforts. Additionally, the rising market demand for AI-driven services played a key role in the company’s successful fundraising. VoyagerX plans to use the new funds to accelerate hiring, develop new AI services, and expand further into the Japanese and U.S. markets.
VoyagerX CEO Nam Se-dong stated, “VoyagerX is committed to creating AI services that make life more enjoyable and convenient, providing users with offerings they’re happy to pay for. With this investment, we will continue to lead the market with new technologies and ideas, and strengthen our global reach to support more users worldwide.”
