Nota and ATS Join Forces for Smart Transportation Solutions in UAE and GCC

Korean on-device AI company Nota announced on the 15th its plans to strengthen its presence in the Middle Eastern market through a partnership with UAE transportation infrastructure company ATS (Alliance Traffic System). Through this collaboration, Nota aims to introduce its intelligent transportation system (ITS) solutions across the Middle East, expanding its technological footprint in the region.

ATS is a key player in UAE’s transportation infrastructure sector within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Since 2008, ATS has managed over half of the major projects for Abu Dhabi’s Department of Transport (DoT) and Dubai Police, establishing a leading position in system integration and traffic management.

As part of this partnership, Nota will collaborate with the Dubai Transport Authority on a Proof of Concept (PoC) project. Nota’s ITS solution is at the core of this initiative, leveraging a vision language model and multimodal functions to analyze traffic data with precision. This optimized on-device AI technology can be deployed efficiently across various transportation devices and aims to improve traffic management and tackle urban mobility challenges in the Middle East.

Nota plans to deliver tailored transportation solutions for the Middle East, drawing on ATS’s extensive experience in regional transportation management and infrastructure. In turn, ATS intends to use its network with key institutions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to extend its influence across the GCC.

Mohammad Al Abbadi, CEO of ATS, said, “Through this MOU, we anticipate that Nota’s on-device AI technology will help alleviate traffic congestion in the Middle East and enhance the cost efficiency of road management.”

Nota CEO Chae Myung-soo emphasized, “This project is a valuable opportunity to validate our VLM-based on-device AI solution in the Middle East and a key milestone for demonstrating our global technological capabilities and business potential.”
