Itphy Raises $225K for RingDoc, Aiming to Advance Digital Rehab Solutions

Itphy, a South Korean startup developing the digital healthcare service RingDoc, has secured KRW 300 million (approximately $225,000) in seed funding from Korea Investment Accelerator. The company plans to use the investment to enhance RingDoc’s technology, improve service quality, and recruit additional personnel. Itphy aims to officially launch RingDoc by the end of the year.

Founded in 2022, Itphy specializes in creating a personalized rehabilitation program connecting patients and doctors through its flagship service, RingDoc, which focuses on managing the recurrence of musculoskeletal diseases. RingDoc offers users tailored exercise plans based on hospital diagnoses and rehabilitation stages, improving both rehabilitation efficiency and patient convenience.

The service leverages the research of CEO Seong-min Lee, an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics at Kyunghee University Medical Center, to deliver medically effective rehabilitation curriculums. Notably, RingDoc’s customized exercise plans were tested on 400 patients recovering from rotator cuff tear surgery over six months, demonstrating over 20% improvement in recovery speed and pain reduction.

Co-CEOs Seong-min Lee and Jae-jun Lee stated, “We plan to officially release RingDoc in December this year, based on our clinical research results. We hope RingDoc will provide effective rehabilitation management not only in orthopedics but also across various medical fields.” They also expressed their intent to pursue technological advancements and explore strategies for entering international markets following this investment.
