Webaresoft Secures Investment to Expand API Management with Rust-Based ‘OSORI’

Webaresoft, a Korean company that developed the API integration management solution OSORI, has secured investment from CNTTech and DB Capital. The company independently created OSORI APIM, a cloud-based API gateway solution for brokerage, security, management, and monitoring, developed using the Rust programming language. Rust, known for its high performance, stability, and security, is recommended by the U.S. White House and widely adopted by major tech companies like Microsoft, Google, and AWS.

Webaresoft demonstrated the solution’s exceptional performance during a proof of concept (PoC) conducted with a DB Group affiliate. In a DB cloud environment, OSORI APIM outperformed competing Java-based solutions by over 78% and reduced memory usage by 87%, all while maintaining superior performance and stability.

The company has patented technology in Korea that allows real-time updates to API settings and security policies and has applied for a U.S. patent. Additionally, Webaresoft is preparing to enter the global market by developing an AI-powered API integration platform with support from the TIPS program.

Choi Hyun-soon, team leader at CNTTech, said, “With the growing adoption of cloud-based applications and microservice architectures, the API gateway market is expanding. Webaresoft’s solution is highly competitive in both domestic and global markets due to its ability to handle simultaneous API requests with stability.”

Kang Seok-min, team leader at DB Capital, commented, “Webaresoft’s solution combines high processing speed with outstanding stability, providing customers with significant operational cost advantages. We anticipate rapid growth in both domestic and international markets.”

Founded in 2021 by three former key researchers from TmaxSoft, Webaresoft has focused on developing proprietary products with high performance and stability to meet the growing demand for API gateway and management solutions, driven by the rise of the AI industry. Through its collaboration with CNTTech via the Seoul Business Agency’s startup support program, Webaresoft expects to contribute to the growth of DB Group’s open API business.
