Luckymeal, a Korean local-based Lucky Box platform, has secured seed funding from Primer. Founded in May 2024, the company has successfully achieved its dual mission of revitalizing the local economy and promoting environmental sustainability in just seven months.

Luckymeal offers the “Lucky Bag” service, which allows consumers to purchase fresh, unsold food from stores at a 50% discount. This initiative not only reduces food waste but also helps small local businesses increase their revenue, creating significant social value.
The platform has partnered with well-known franchises such as OUR Bakery and Cafe Gongmyung, along with various other businesses ranging from small local shops to major brands. These collaborations enhance the platform’s credibility, provide consumers with a wider range of options, and create new revenue opportunities for participating partners.
CEO Kim Hyun-ho commented, “With Primer’s investment, we aim to further enhance Luckymeal’s services and technology. Our vision is to establish Luckymeal as a sustainable platform that benefits both the community and the environment, while setting our sights on the global market.”
