StudioLab Wins CES 2025 Innovation Award for AI-Powered Photo Robot

StudioLab, a provider of AI-based content automation solutions, has won the Robotics Innovation Award at CES 2025 for the second consecutive year at the world’s largest IT and consumer electronics exhibition.

The award-winning ‘GENCY PB (Photo Bot)’ is an innovative solution that combines AI and robotics technologies to automate photo shooting, editing, and printing processes, enabling businesses to produce high-quality photographic content efficiently. Priced at approximately 5,000,000 KRW (around $3,700 USD), the device represents a significant technological advancement in automated photography.

Last year, StudioLab won the Top AI Innovation Award at CES 2024 with ‘Seller Canvas’, and this year’s Robotics Innovation Award for GENCY PB further demonstrates their technological prowess in automation for fashion and commerce sectors.

The GENCY PB is a human photography robot that automatically recognizes faces, finds optimal shooting angles, and can process photo correction and printing with simple operations. Following its successful debut at The Hyundai Seoul popup event in 2024, the device is expanding its reach in both commercial and personal photography markets.

CEO Sung-hoon Kang stated, “We’re honored to receive the CES Innovation Award for the second consecutive year. We’ll continue to leverage AI and robotic technologies to drive changes in the global commerce industry.” He added that this award provides an opportunity to offer innovative experiences to general consumers beyond commercial photography.

Originally spun off from Samsung Electronics’ C-Lab internal venture program, StudioLab has been developing AI-based commerce content automation services, including the ‘Seller Canvas’ and automated photo bot solutions.
