LEESOL’s Sleepisol Lite Wins CES 2025 Innovation Award for Sleep Technology

Healthcare Korean startup LEESOL announced that its sleep management wearable device, ‘Sleepisol Lite’, has won the Beauty & Personal Care Innovation Award at CES 2025. Priced at approximately 250,000 KRW (around $185 USD), the device represents a significant breakthrough in sleep technology.

The CES Innovation Award, presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), recognizes products with innovative technology and design, highlighting the global potential of the Sleepisol Lite in the healthcare and sleep management market.

The device is an ergonomically designed headband-style wearable that uses neuromodulation technology to stimulate specific brain areas, improving sleep quality and concentration. Its unique feature is the use of microcurrent cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) to induce deep sleep.

Utilizing a patented transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) method, the Sleepisol Lite combines burst signals and sleep-inducing frequencies to create an effective sleep environment. A clinical study at Seoul National University Hospital with 60 insomnia patients showed a 175% improvement in sleep and depression metrics, with research published in the Journal of Sleep Research and Journal of Affective Disorders.

Weighing just 33g with a simple slide-button operation, the device can be used continuously for up to 8 months on a single AAAA battery charge. This design allows users to manage their sleep consistently, regardless of location.

A LEESOL representative stated that the CES Innovation Award validates their innovative technology and ergonomic design. They plan to leverage this recognition to establish new standards in sleep management and mental health, with a rapid expansion into global markets.

According to the World Health Organization, approximately 30% of the global population experiences sleep disorders. LEESOL aims to address this issue with its leading sleep management solutions, contributing to improved quality of life.

The company recently secured 4 billion KRW (approximately $3 million USD) in Series A funding and was selected for the government’s Deep Tech TIPS program, potentially receiving up to 1.7 billion KRW in research and development funds.
