Gyeonggi CCEI’s Startups Shine at CES 2025 with Groundbreaking Technologies
The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center (hereinafter ‘Gyeonggi CCEI‘) announced that 8 companies supported by its ‘Global Star Venture Innovation Challenge’ have won the CES 2025 Innovation Awards.
CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is the world’s largest ICT convergence exhibition, organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which awards prizes to products and services with innovative technologies and designs. Each year, global companies compete fiercely, and the CES Innovation Awards are given to companies recognized for their technological prowess, creativity, and market potential.
At this year’s CES 2025 Innovation Awards, while Samsung Electronics, LG Innotek, and SKT’s awards garnered attention, the Gyeonggi CCEI’s supported companies also made a notable appearance. The awarded companies include QSimplus, CELLiCo, Ailive, Metafarmers, FUST Lab, MOFIN, Braindeck, and Klcube, totaling 8 companies.
All of these are beneficiary companies of the Gyeonggi CCEI’s ‘Global Star Venture Innovation Challenge’. The Global Star Venture Program is the center’s representative global outbound support initiative, providing startups targeting the global market with services such as ▲1:1 matching with expert consultants ▲exhibition strategy establishment ▲video and image material enhancement.
The CES Innovation Awards program has established itself as a prestigious program, producing award-winning companies year after year, with 17 companies in 2022 and 20 companies in 2023.

The achievements of the awarded companies are also noteworthy. QSimplus, a startup supported in the Pangyo Startup Zone operated by Gyeonggi CCEI, showcased ‘QSIMunit-SC (signal generator for quantum communication)’ and demonstrated its strength by winning the CES Innovation Award for the third consecutive year. QSIMunit-SC is an advanced technology that generates and processes signals essential for quantum communication, drawing attention as a key solution for next-generation communication technologies.

Sellico also proved its innovative status by setting a record of three consecutive years of awards. The EyeCane they presented is the world’s first smart glasses for AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration) patients, offering new hope for those who have lost their vision. EyeCane processes video data in real-time through a 4K camera and a dedicated mobile app, delivering clear images to the peripheral vision while avoiding the damaged central vision, helping AMD patients recognize faces, read text, and resume daily life.
According to Gyeonggi CCEI officials, 7 incubated companies independently participated and won awards at CES 2025. Including the previous 8 companies, this brings the total to 15 award-winning companies.
The Gyeonggi CCEI stated, “This award is a remarkable achievement where our incubated companies’ innovative technological capabilities and market potential have been proudly recognized on the global stage,” and added, “We will continue to provide unwavering support so that domestic startups can take a leading position in the world market.”
