Korea-based talent verification platform, Specter, has announced its latest milestone in securing additional funding in a pre-Series B round. The round included new investment from Vietnam’s Do Ventures and continued support from existing investor Storm Ventures, based in Silicon Valley, USA. This round has brought the company’s total raised capital to KRW 11 billion (approximately USD 8.4 million).

The investment underscores Specter’s potential for global expansion and its consistent growth across various key performance indicators. The funds will be used primarily to enhance technology and expand operations into new global markets.

Currently, Specter is actively preparing to enter the markets of Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan. Notably, even before establishing a local entity in Singapore, the company has already achieved significant revenue outcomes and received numerous partnership proposals from major local players.

In response to the successful funding, Specter is expanding its team, looking to fill 16 strategic positions, including product owners, to improve its service offerings tailored for the global market.

Specter aims to create a fairer hiring environment with its reputation inquiry service, which allows verified hiring managers and peers to provide feedback on candidates, assessing their skills, ethics, and organizational fit. The service includes premium options for high-level executive hires and the innovative TEO, an AI-driven interface that supports recruiters throughout the hiring process, reinforcing its mission to transform the recruitment landscape globally.
