Value of Space Raises $3.4M in Series A Bridge to Drive Real Estate Loan Digitalization

South Korea’s real estate automated valuation financial service, Value of Space, has raised KRW 4.5 billion (approximately USD 3.4 million) in Series A bridge funding from COMES Investment, Hyundai Investment Partners, Korea Investment Partners, and KB Investment. This latest round brings its total funding to KRW 12.5 billion (approximately USD 9.4 million).

Value of Space provides data solutions, online appraisals, and online loan brokerage services using its proprietary AI-based real estate automated valuation model (AI Estimated Value), which covers all properties nationwide.

Its loan brokerage system, PIPER, offers two stages of online valuation: an AI Estimated Value at the application stage and an appraiser’s anticipated valuation during loan processing. This transparent system provides comprehensive real estate pricing information while connecting borrowers, appraisers, and financial institutions online. Using a reverse auction model, financial institutions’ loan officers propose loan limits and interest rates directly to customers.

Launched in February, PIPER is rapidly digitalizing real estate-secured loans, focusing on mutual finance institutions such as credit unions and forestry cooperatives.

CEO Park Sung-sik stated, “Despite the challenging investment climate, we successfully secured funding because we have identified a significant opportunity to lead the shift toward digitalization in real estate-secured loans. By transitioning the traditional real estate loan market to a data-driven online model, we aim to improve efficiency in the financial market and eliminate inconvenience for customers.”
