PulseAd Raises $1.5M Funding to Enhance AdTech for Amazon and Global Retail

Global retail media platform PulseAd has secured $1.5 million (KRW 2 billion) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Smilegate Investment, with BonAngels participating as a co-investor.

Founded in March 2024, PulseAd has demonstrated strong growth potential, raising over $2.3 million (KRW 3 billion) in cumulative funding during its first year. Before this round, the company had already received support from SparkLabs, CJ ENM, and the TIPS program, establishing a robust network within the startup ecosystem.

From the outset, PulseAd has focused on developing high-performing advertising technologies and strategies for the global retail market. Just one month after its establishment, it entered a verified AdTech partnership with Amazon, offering optimized advertising solutions. These solutions have enabled the success of numerous K-beauty brands, including WISHCOMPANY, which achieved annual revenue of $54 million (KRW 72 billion).

PulseAd’s team consists of experienced professionals from leading companies such as Google, Coupang, LINE, Kakao Games, and Neowiz, led by CEO Geoseong Yoon, formerly the head of KakaoStyle’s ZIGZAG.

The company stated, “This investment will help us continue attracting top talent, further enhancing our competitiveness, and focusing on delivering the most effective advertising solutions to connect brands with consumers.”
CEO Geoseong Yoon added, “This funding will accelerate our efforts to strengthen our position in the global advertising market. Starting with Amazon solutions, we aim to expand into platforms like TikTok and Walmart, empowering brands to run more effective ad campaigns across diverse retail channels.”
