WIRobotics Introduces Revolutionary Wearable Robot WIM in the U.S. Market
WiRobotics, a Korea-based leader in wearable robotics technology, has successfully launched its groundbreaking walking assistance device, WIM (We Innovate Mobility), in the U.S. market. Designed to significantly enhance personal mobility, WIM is celebrated for its lightweight, ease of use, and technologically advanced features.
WIM’s debut follows its robust performance in South Korea, where over 500 units have been sold, showcasing the product’s appeal and functionality. This device, which weighs just 1.6 kilograms, simplifies mobility with its ultra-portable design, allowing users to wear and remove it in under 30 seconds. Its compactness and the ability to fold down to the size of 23cm x 6cm facilitate easy transportation in a dedicated pouch, making it ideal for active users across various demographics including the young, elderly, and those recovering from lower-body injuries.
The innovation behind WIM has not gone unnoticed on the global stage, earning it CES Innovation Awards in robotics for two consecutive years. The device integrates AI and big data to provide real-time analysis of users’ gait metrics, offering personalized coaching through a mobile app. This feature is aimed at enhancing walking speed, agility, and overall physical function, with a usability test showing a 78% improvement in seniors’ physical functions.
WIM operates in several modes tailored to different activities and needs—such as Assist Mode, Resist Mode, Hiking Mode, and Slow Gait Mode—each designed to optimize user experience whether on flat ground or varying terrains. Additionally, the device’s durability is underscored by its water and dust resistance, ensuring reliable performance in diverse environments.
As WiRobotics expands into the U.S., they are driven by a mission to make advanced wearable robotics accessible, aiming to transform daily life with seamless robotic integration. The launch of WIM marks a significant milestone in achieving this goal, furthering WiRobotics’ vision of ushering in an era of ‘one person, one robot’ through innovative, consumer-focused technology solutions.
