Outcode by Powertask Raises Pre-Series A to Drive Business Automation Growth

Korean company Powertask, which operates the business automation platform ‘Outcode,’ has secured a Pre-Series A investment. The investment round was led by Strong Ventures, with participation from existing investor Korea Investment Accelerator.

Since its launch in 2023, Outcode has rapidly grown as a business automation platform that connects various enterprise data sources and applications to streamline automation and workflow management. This enables businesses to simultaneously reduce costs and enhance productivity.

Notably, over 92% of Outcode’s users are non-developers who handle operational tasks. This allows companies to set up automation processes through an intuitive user interface without relying on development teams, making it applicable across various departments.

To ensure a secure user environment, Outcode offers features such as data protection, two-factor authentication (2FA), user permission management, and audit logs, ensuring high reliability in terms of security and management.

The Outcode team at Powertask comprises experts from Accenture, Coupang, and Adobe. Since its launch in 2023, the company has provided its platform to several enterprises, including Ilroom, Krafton, and RaonPeople, achieving 500% growth compared to the previous year.

Yoo Hye-rim, an investment manager at Strong Ventures who led this investment round, stated, “Outcode provides an innovative business automation platform for enterprises and has the potential to lead the business automation market. As operational efficiency and optimization become key factors in corporate competitiveness, Outcode’s technological capabilities and flexible platform design demonstrate strong scalability and applicability across various industries.”

Lee Tak-rim, a director at Korea Investment Accelerator, which participated in the follow-on investment, added, “Since our seed investment in 2023, we have continuously observed Outcode’s significant growth metrics and the team’s execution capabilities. We are confident that Outcode is well-positioned to implement a super-gap strategy in the increasingly critical data-driven workflow automation market.”

Powertask CEO Moon Chang-hoon holds degrees from POSTECH and the RSM MBA program and has successfully led multiple innovation projects at consulting firms and global IT and consumer goods companies. He stated, “With this investment, we plan to focus on developing generative AI-based agent features. We are committed to advancing and expanding a business automation platform that adapts to the AI agent era.”
