Futureschole, the company behind the knowledge business platform LiveKlass, announced on the 7th that it has closed its Series A funding round at $3.8 million (KRW 5 billion). This round included a $3 million (KRW 4 billion) investment from Murex Partners in August, followed by an additional $750,000 (KRW 1 billion) investment from existing investor TBT Partners in January. With this latest funding, Futureschole’s total investment has now surpassed $6 million (KRW 8 billion).

LiveKlass is a platform that enables anyone to monetize their knowledge and experience by creating and selling real-time classes, videos, e-books, and other digital content. Users can easily set up their own websites and offer various content-based products, including online courses. The platform’s user-friendly payment system and industry-lowest transaction fees make it highly accessible, lowering barriers for individuals looking to start a knowledge-based business.
Thanks to its strong technology and service offerings, LiveKlass has been growing rapidly. Notable creators using the platform include Kim Mi-kyung, a renowned instructor with over 1.8 million YouTube subscribers, as well as other influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers.
Currently, more than 20,000 businesses across various fields—including career development, entrepreneurship, side businesses, foreign languages, stock trading, real estate, and reading—have launched their own sites on LiveKlass and are actively running their businesses.
Choong-wook Lee, Head of Investment at TBT Partners, stated, “It has been an honor to support LiveKlass as its first investor in 2021 and to participate in this follow-on funding. As the creator economy evolves, LiveKlass has been growing more than threefold annually, proving its strong competitive edge in serving knowledge creators.”
Chul-heon Shin, CEO of Futureschole, shared, “With this investment, we plan to focus on Product-Led Growth (PLG). Our goal is to upgrade our platform into the ultimate solution for knowledge creators and establish global-level competitiveness.”
