Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and the Gangwon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (Gangwon CCEI) signed a support agreement with the final selected companies for the 2025 G-Startup Young Entrepreneurship Program on the 13th at the Center’s Summit Hall.

Now in its seventh year, the “G-Startup Young Entrepreneurship Program” is a collaborative initiative between Gangwon Province and the Gangwon CCEI to support innovative startups with cutting-edge ideas and technology in the region. Recruitment began in January, and last month, 40 outstanding startups were selected.
This year’s program is divided into three tracks—pre-startup, early-stage, and growth-stage—based on the companies’ development phases. Selected firms will receive commercialization funding, stage-specific entrepreneurship training, expert mentoring, networking opportunities, and investment connections, covering the entire startup journey.
The signing ceremony included an overview of key program schedules and a networking event for the selected startups. Representatives from promising companies in emerging industries such as biohealth, ICT convergence, food tech, semiconductors, and future energy gathered to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities.
Man-ho Kim, Director of the Economic Bureau of Gangwon Province, said, “Through this program, we will spare no effort in supporting startups with superior technology and business ideas to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem, enhance outcomes, and boost economic vitality.”
Hae-jung Lee, CEO of the Gangwon CCEI, stated, “As a flagship program for discovering startups in Gangwon Province, we will prepare various follow-up support measures, including investment and open innovation, to ensure G-Startup participants contribute to the province’s industrial growth through sustained success.”
