WORKSMATE Secures USD 2.7 million to Enhance Construction Workforce Platform

WORKSMATE, the South Korean company operating the construction workforce matching platform ‘GADA,’ has successfully raised USD 2.7 million (KRW 4 billion) in its Series B funding round. The investment was led by Colopl Next Korea, DT&Investment, ES Investor, and JB Investment.

WORKSMATE aims to address the chronic labor shortage in the construction industry by connecting construction workers with construction firms through its platform. The ‘GADA’ app provides real-time matching services tailored to the specific demands of construction sites, leveraging a user-friendly interface and a data-driven matching system as its core strengths.

With this new investment, WORKSMATE plans to enhance the technological sophistication of its services and improve operational efficiency. The company intends to refine its AI-powered automated matching algorithm and systematize construction workers’ skill data to offer more precise, customized job recommendations. Additionally, WORKSMATE aims to expand its platform beyond domestic workers to include foreign laborers, ensuring a more diverse and accessible workforce for the construction industry.

Se-Won Kim, CEO of WORKSMATE, stated, “This investment reflects the market’s growing expectations for digital transformation and innovation in workforce matching within the construction sector. Moving forward, we will continue to develop technology-driven solutions to create an environment where both construction workers and businesses can thrive while establishing a sustainable growth model.”
