Carsub Secures Seed Funding from The Invention Lab for Imported Car Parts Platform

Carsub, a Korean startup operating the imported car used parts platform ‘Carsub,’ has secured seed funding from The Invention Lab. The amount remains undisclosed.

This investment was executed through The Invention Lab’s Hi Seoul Deep Tech Fund 1. The fund targets early-stage tech companies with deep tech expertise in AI, robotics, aerospace, and mobility, as well as promising B2C/B2B startups, aiming to foster future growth drivers and invigorate Seoul’s startup and tech ecosystem.

Launched in December 2023 as an LG Uplus corporate venture, Carsub operates “Carsub,” a platform that streamlines used parts transactions between imported car owners and suppliers, including scrapyards. It supports the entire process, from parts sourcing to repair shop connections, and offers additional services like self-diagnostic tools for vehicle issues and inventory management solutions for suppliers.

Min-soo Kim, a director at The Invention Lab, said, “Carsub quickly validated its customer base in the highly closed imported car used parts market, securing a network of exclusive scrapyard suppliers and generating real revenue—a rare case of proven growth potential. We decided to invest after closely observing its progress since the LG Uplus venture program.”

Yoon-geun Jung, chairman of the HiSeoul Biz Company Association, co-managing the Hi Seoul Deep Tech Fund 1, stated, “Carsub has strong commercialization potential and prospects for global expansion from Seoul. We will support its sustained growth through our network.”

Carsub plans to strengthen its position in the domestic and international imported car aftermarket by advancing vehicle management and used parts distribution data.
