South Korean AI optimization technology company Nota announced on the 23rd that it has signed a contract with Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) to supply a generative AI-based Intelligent Transport System (ITS) solution.

The ITS system provided by Nota is part of its proprietary video surveillance platform, Nota Vision Agent, which is built on a Vision-Language Model (VLM). It operates seamlessly on both centralized and edge NVIDIA devices, enabling real-time analysis of video data to quickly detect accidents and unexpected incidents on the road, allowing for immediate response. Nota was selected for the project due to its low reliance on cloud servers, high-speed data processing, operational efficiency, and strong security capabilities.
Nota has been steadily strengthening its presence in the region, including collaboration with the RTA last year. The company raised its profile by participating in major business conferences such as Expand North Star 2024 and ITS World Congress 2024, both held in the Middle East. In November, Nota partnered with UAE-based transportation infrastructure company ATS and successfully conducted a proof-of-concept (PoC) project with the RTA to improve traffic management in the region. Building on this contract, Nota plans to officially unveil the project’s results at GITEX, the Middle East’s largest tech exhibition, this October, and is set to actively pursue smart city initiatives across the broader Middle East.
Nota CEO Myungsoo Chae said, “This contract with the Dubai RTA is a significant milestone that validates Nota’s global technological competitiveness. With this momentum, we aim to complete our IPO this year and lead AI-driven innovation in smart cities and other industries worldwide, including in the Middle East.”
Nota is currently preparing to become the first AI optimization company to list on KOSDAQ and plans to submit its preliminary IPO filing in mid-May.
