South Korean dental technology startup GLOUD has secured approximately USD 6.5 million(KRW 8.6 billion) in a Series A funding round, valuing the company at USD 21 million(KRW 28 billion). The investment was led by SBI Investment, Quantum Ventures Korea, Korea Investment Partners, Next Unicorn Investment Association, Ulsan TIPS Venture Association, and Sema Investment. The funds will fuel GLOUD’s ambitious push into the global digital dentistry market.
GLOUD’s flagship service, JustScan, operates on a Treatment as a Service (TaaS) model, providing dental clinics with medical devices, digital workflow solutions, and cloud-based dental data management, alongside professional training for practitioners. At the core of JustScan are GLOUD’s proprietary 3D printer, JustPrint5, and Beluga AI Prosthesis Design, which enable real-time prosthetic design and production. The platform allows high-quality prosthetics to be fitted within 30 minutes of an oral scan, streamlining dental care delivery.
The company has already gained international recognition, showcasing its technology at the Arab Health Dental Equipment Exhibition (AEEDC) in Dubai in January and the International Dental Show (IDS) 2025 in Cologne(Köln), Germany, in March. These events marked the launch of GLOUD’s global services. Over the past year, the startup recorded nearly tenfold growth and is expanding its product portfolio to include dentures for edentulous patients, All-on-X implants, and aesthetic veneer treatments in the second half of 2025.
“JustScan was born to reduce the stress patients experience during dental treatments,” said Ji Jin-woo, CEO of GLOUD. “By leveraging technology to shorten treatment times and minimize pain and discomfort, we aim to enhance access to dental care.”
GLOUD has been selected for multiple public support programs in South Korea, including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS program, IBK Changgong, KODIT’s First Penguin, and Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation’s Early Startup Package, reinforcing its position as a rising star in the dental tech sector.
