Dunamu & Partners, the investment arm of Dunamu, announced that it invested USD 6.57 million (KRW 9.2 billion) in the Series C round of Botrista, a U.S.-based beverage automation robot startup. The round included participation from global F&B giant Jollibee Foods Corporation and several strategic investors.

Botrista’s next-generation beverage automation robot excels in precisely dispensing liquids of varying viscosities, powered by a system integrating fluid dynamics, mechanical engineering, and software. The company holds numerous patents in key technologies, including sensor and motor control, inventory and sales data analytics, and cloud-based Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.
Botrista’s robots can produce premium beverages—coffee, cocktails, bubble tea, smoothies, shakes, and more—at the quality of a skilled barista from a single machine. They are currently deployed in U.S. franchise locations such as The Halal Guys, Jollibee, Shipley Do-Nuts, and Porkworks. Recently, Botrista secured supply contracts with F&B partners holding over 50% market share in universities, hospitals, office cafeterias, and theme parks, marking a phase of rapid expansion.
Sean Hsu, CEO of Botrista, stated, “This investment from Dunamu & Partners will further advance our liquid dispensing technology. By leveraging precise high-quality puree injection, we aim to boost profitability for global F&B companies while delivering healthier, tastier beverage experiences to consumers.”
Sujin Lim, Partner at Dunamu & Partners, commented, “Botrista’s CEO Sean Hsu, with four years of experience developing battery dispensing systems at Tesla, has uniquely engineered liquid dispensing technology. Already operational across a vast U.S. store network, it has proven scalability and reliability, and will be swiftly adopted by F&B firms facing labor shortages and rising costs.”
