Korean Mobility Software Firm Ivis Secures USD 2.86 Million in Series C Funding

Korean mobility software developer Ivis announced it has raised USD 2.86 million (KRW 4 billion) in a Series C funding round from IBK-We scaleup Fund No. 1.

Ivis specializes in developing embedded software optimized for the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) ecosystem, including digital clusters and in-vehicle infotainment systems. The company supplies software solutions for production vehicles.

In 2016, Ivis launched “IVI-Suite,” a Linux-based infotainment software platform package, and was selected as the exclusive partner for Hyundai Motor’s next-generation infotainment operating system platform.

In 2019, Ivis released “IVC-Suite,” a software package for digital clusters, which was integrated into Hyundai Motor’s next-generation digital cluster platform.

The funds secured through this investment will be used to advance Ivis’s core technologies, including real-time vehicle data abstraction technology (product name: Alton) and vehicle service framework technology (product name: Brighton), as well as their commercialization. The company aims to expand its business across domestic and international automakers and the broader mobility ecosystem.

Ivis is diversifying its operations into mobility-integrated control services using vehicle data based on SDV technology. Its proprietary iFMS (Integrated Mobility Fleet Management System), a cloud-based integrated control system, has been validated through applications such as Gwanak-gu’s patrol robot service, multi-purpose ride-on mobility, and unmanned autonomous contactless store services.

Ivis is working toward commercializing a total solution integrating User Application, Edge Agent, and On-device AI technologies to expand integrated operational services for smart airports, smart cities, and defense-sector smart mobility.

Ki-mo Nam, CEO of Ivis, stated, “This investment recognizes Ivis’s accumulated expertise in vehicle software. We plan to enhance R&D capabilities and recruit specialized talent to advance SDV and mobility-integrated operational systems. Through these efforts, we aim to become a key partner supporting customer growth and innovation in the future mobility market, including autonomous vehicles and SDVs, by prioritizing technology development.”
