SQUARES Attracts Series A Funding to Advance AI No-Code Platform Q Shop

SQUARES, a South Korean company that operates the AI-powered no-code website builder Q Shop, has successfully raised approximately USD 1.6 million (KRW 2.2 billion) in a Series A funding round.

The investment was led by Hyundai Investment Partners, with participation from the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) and Strong Ventures. This brings SQUARES’ total accumulated funding to around USD 2.3 million (KRW 3.1 billion).

SQUARES has developed and operates Q Shop, an AI-based no-code platform that allows users to automatically create websites and online stores with just a few clicks. Users can build professional-quality websites in under five minutes without any design or coding knowledge, making the platform especially popular among early-stage entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Q Shop stands out from other no-code tools by leveraging generative AI to offer real-time automated copywriting, image placement, and layout composition. It is recognized for delivering a distinct automation experience and is seen as a driving force in transforming the website builder landscape in Korea.

With the new funding, SQUARES plans to enhance its technology, strengthen its personalized recommendation features, and ramp up marketing and global expansion efforts. The company also aims to build a stronger collaboration framework with professional creators.

Joonbyung Lee, Manager at Hyundai Investment Partners, commented, “SQUARES is transforming the website creation market with its AI technology, and Q Shop has strong potential to grow into a global SaaS platform.”

Jinwoo Koh, CEO of SQUARES, said, “This investment reflects the recognition of Q Shop’s generative AI capabilities and future potential. We are committed to building faster, more powerful products to create a world where anyone can easily start an online business.”
