MadeleineMemory, a Korean startup that operates the branded resale solution service ‘Relay’, has secured an additional investment of approximately USD 1.1 million(KRW 1.5 billion) from the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and MYSC. With this latest funding, the company has successfully completed its Pre-Series A2 round, totaling around USD 2.6 million(KRW 3.6 billion).
Previously, MadeleineMemory had received funding from A Ventures and Coolidge Corner Investment as part of its initial Pre-A2 round.
Centered on its solution ‘Relay’, which transforms resale into a brand service through collaboration with fashion brands, MadeleineMemory is advancing the SaaS-ification of resale and diversifying its distribution channels. The company has launched Korea’s first brand-certified resale service, starting with Kolon FnC’s exclusive resale marketplace, ‘OLO Relay Market’, and is set to open a similar platform on LF’s own e-commerce mall later this year.
In May, MadeleineMemory partnered with Hyundai Department Store to launch the ‘The Hyundai Buyback Service’, a program that rewards customers with H.Points in exchange for their used clothing. In July, it expanded this model by launching the ‘Reals Green Reward’ program in collaboration with Lotte Department Store, thereby extending its solution offering to major retail groups and reshaping the resale market.
BYUN Jun-jae, Investment Manager at MYSC, stated, “MadeleineMemory has established a powerful partnership model that bridges brands and consumers within the growing ESG transition of the fashion industry. As an impact investment firm, MYSC aims to foster sustainable growth and social value creation alongside MadeleineMemory.”
HWANG Jung-jin, Executive Director of MadeleineMemory, commented, “By converting the growing demand for resale into new customer touchpoints for brands and retailers, we aim to offer businesses a revenue category optimized for the evolving fashion landscape, while delivering high-quality, value-driven resale experiences to consumers. With this investment, we plan to further enhance our technology and expand partnerships to set a new standard in branded resale.”
