Ucube Secures Series A to Expand Public AX and Enhance Quantum Cryptography-based Defence Solution

Ucube, a South Korean ICT specialist, has successfully secured its first external investment from venture capital and investment firms, accelerating its preparations for an initial public offering (IPO). The company raised approximately USD 1.45 million(KRW 2 billion) in a Series A round co-led by GB Ventures and IBK Capital. Ucube aims to complete its Series A funding by September, targeting a post-money valuation of approximately USD 29 million (KRW 40 billion) through additional investments.

This investment marks significant recognition of Ucube’s technological capabilities and business potential by external investors. The company has achieved over twofold annual growth in its system integration (SI) and system management (SM) business segments, recording revenues of approximately USD 27 million(KRW 37.4 billion) last year. This stable financial performance underpinned its ability to attract investment.

Founded in 2020, Ucube has shown remarkable growth within five years. Earlier this year, it appointed KB Investment & Securities as its IPO underwriter, aiming for a 2026 listing. The company’s financial soundness was further validated by a recent upgrade in its corporate credit rating from BBB+ to A-.

Ucube plans to allocate the investment to its public sector AI transformation (AX) initiatives and quantum cryptography-based defense solutions. The company outlined a vision to more than double its enterprise value by strengthening future growth drivers.

In the public AX market, Ucube has established itself as a leader. In May, it secured major AI projects, including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s “2025 Intelligent Workflow Platform Development” and the National Information Society Agency’s “Government-Wide Large-Scale AI Infrastructure Project.”

Ucube supports AX transformation with its proprietary solutions, “CubeIAXAgent” and “CubeIWorks,” while in the defense sector, it is targeting the market with “CubeIQ-KDS,” an integrated security solution leveraging quantum cryptography technology.

Kim Jung-beom, CEO of Ucube, stated, “This investment underscores the market’s trust in our technology and performance. By leading public AI transformation and security innovation, we will firmly demonstrate our growth potential through the IPO.”
