AIM Intelligence Secures Pre-Series A to Advance AI Security infrastructure and Accelerate Global Expansion

AIM Intelligence, a South Korean startup specializing in generative AI security, has raised a Pre-Series A round led by Mirae Asset Capital. The round also included participation from Bluepoint Partners’ LG Uplus Strategic Fund, Z Venture Capital—CVC of Japan’s LY Corporation—and follow-on investment from existing investor Mashup Ventures. The total cumulative funding has now reached approximately USD 1.42 million(KRW 1.85 billion).

AIM Intelligence aims to ensure both stability and controllability in an era where AI increasingly plays a central role in decision-making. The company provides AI security infrastructure that enables enterprises adopting generative AI to automatically diagnose vulnerabilities—such as hallucinations, bias, and personal data leakage—and respond to them in real-time.

Its key solutions include AIM Red, an automated AI safety validation tool, AIM Guard, a real-time input/output filtering solution, and AIM Supervisor, a monitoring tool for AI agents’ decision-making logic.

Major financial institutions such as KB Kookmin Card, KB Securities, and Woori Bank have already adopted AIM Intelligence’s solutions following thorough security assessments. The company has also collaborated with LG AI Research, KT, the Korea Credit Information Services (KCIS), and the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) on generative AI reliability evaluation projects. Furthermore, AIM Intelligence is conducting proof-of-concept projects with LG Uplus, which also participated in the current funding round.

AIM Intelligence’s technological excellence has also gained international recognition. The company was awarded the Llama Impact Innovation Award 2024, hosted by Meta, and successfully identified security vulnerabilities in closed AI models through Anthropic’s bug bounty program. It has had four research papers accepted by leading AI conferences such as ICML and ACL, further demonstrating its research capabilities.

Cha Seung-hyun, Team Leader at Mirae Asset Capital—the lead investor for this round—commented, “For AI to become truly ubiquitous, critical issues like data privacy and governance must be addressed first. With global regulatory pressure and talent shortages, the AI security market is expected to grow rapidly. AIM Intelligence stands out with its deep understanding of AI technologies and globally competitive red-teaming capabilities. We see strong potential in their automated solutions for AI safety verification and real-time input/output monitoring.”

Yoo Sang-yoon, CEO of AIM Intelligence, added, “As AI becomes increasingly embedded in daily life, preventing malfunctions and misuse is essential. Our solutions are designed to block sensitive information leaks and ensure the reliability of AI-powered services. We’re also committed to advancing the vision of Sovereign AI.”

With this investment, AIM Intelligence plans to accelerate global expansion and establish international partnerships. It also aims to further strengthen its security framework to support next-generation technologies, such as multimodal and physical AI, while positioning its offerings as standard-compliant global solutions.
