CPXSystems Secures Seed Funding to Advance AI-Based Predictive Maintenance for Wind Power Facilities

CPXSystems, a Korean startup developing AI-based predictive maintenance solutions for wind power facilities, has secured seed investment through the “Jeju Early-Stage Startup Growth Fund,” jointly managed by Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation and MYSC (MY Social Company).

Through this investment, the Jeju Center aims to accelerate renewable energy innovation in connection with the Jeju wind power industry ecosystem and support CPXSystems’ growth as an AI-driven industrial predictive diagnostics company.

CPXSystems is developing predictive maintenance solutions that support structural safety monitoring, preventive diagnostics, and lifespan forecasting of wind power facilities. Its flagship product, CyPHAI, integrates remote laser ultrasonic technology with AI-driven cyber-physical system (CPS) technology to enable real-time structural monitoring, preventive diagnostics, and maintenance. This helps reduce maintenance costs, extend equipment lifespan, and improve energy generation efficiency.

Founded in 2023, CPXSystems became the first company in the energy and power sector to receive AI Reliability Certification (CAT) from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) last year. The company is conducting demonstration projects with domestic renewable energy companies to enter the initial market and plans to expand applications of its technology to construction, civil engineering, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors.

CPXSystems CEO Choi Won, who holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and Structural Optimization Design, previously led R&D at Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Hanwha Aerospace. Today, he spearheads research and development with a team of master’s and doctoral-level experts in aerospace, mechanical, and computer engineering.

Jeju Center CEO Lee Byung-seon stated, “CPXSystems possesses core technologies that can expand beyond wind power into diverse industries. Through this investment, we will strengthen connections with Jeju’s wind power industry and actively support the company to drive innovation in Korea’s renewable energy sector.”
