Vroong Secures Additional $7.3M Investment, Strengthening Leadership in Korea’s Delivery Agency Market

Korean startup Vroong, which operates a delivery agency platform, has secured an additional investment of approximately USD 7.3 million(KRW 10 billion) under the lead of Shinhan Securities.

On August 13, the company’s board of directors approved a third-party allotment capital increase, targeting Shinhan Securities or a third party designated by it. Vroong has since completed the investment agreement and payment of new shares, thereby raising a total of approximately USD 29.2 million(KRW 40 billion) in external funding this year alone.

Although the delivery agency industry has recently faced a downturn due to reduced store-based delivery and declining order demand, Vroong has maintained a strong market presence. The company continues to hold a dominant B2B market share of over 50%, serving large franchise clients. It has also secured volume from major food delivery platforms such as Baedal Minjok and Yogiyo, resulting in a roughly 10% year-on-year increase in delivery orders, thereby sustaining growth despite industry challenges.

Yoon-seo Chae, CFO and CEO of Vroong, stated “This investment reaffirms the market’s confidence in Vroong’s business model and growth potential, even amid challenging conditions. We will leverage this funding to accelerate technological advancements and enhance service stability, further solidifying our leadership in the delivery agency market.”
