South Korea-based startup WVR, which is developing an intelligent asset management platform that integrates AI, big data, and cloud technologies to address aging water infrastructure challenges, has secured investment from CNTTech.
WVR provides proactive maintenance solutions using AI-driven predictive diagnostics and operations technology, aiming to replace the traditional labor-intensive and reactive management approach in water and wastewater systems. Its platform collects and analyzes diverse data in real time—such as water quality, flow, and leak noise—to detect early warning signs. It also automates and optimizes the entire operational process through an integrated platform.
Key strengths include data-driven decision-making optimization, real-time synchronization via cloud integration, and user-customized integrated management features, which enhance the speed and accuracy of field responses. This contributes to accident prevention and improved efficiency in infrastructure maintenance.
In the short term, WVR plans to commercialize and advance end-to-end water and wastewater lifecycle management technology. In the long term, the company aims to develop a comprehensive ABC Asset Management Platform that covers the entire spectrum of water infrastructure operations, positioning itself competitively in the global market.
CNTTech is supporting WVR through its 2025 Smart Construction Startup Accelerating and Open Innovation Program, helping the company enhance its business model and strengthen investment capacity.
CNTTech CEO Hwa-Sung Jeon commented, “Water management infrastructure is a critical sector directly tied to people’s lives. WVR’s solution, which combines AI and data technologies, holds significant growth potential in both domestic and international markets. Through this investment, CNTTech will fully support WVR in establishing itself as a leading company in the smart water infrastructure field.”
