South Korea-based startup MarqVision, which provides AI-powered integrated IP services, has completed a Series B funding round of $48 million (approx. KRW 70 billion). With this round, the company’s cumulative funding has exceeded $85 million (KRW 120 billion). MarqVision plans to accelerate the integration of the global IP service market and further enhance its AI-based brand protection platform.

The round was led by Peak XV (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA), with new participation from HSG (Sequoia Capital China), Salesforce Ventures, Coral Capital, and Michael Seibel, Honorary Partner at Y Combinator. Existing investors—including Y Combinator, Altos Ventures, Atinum Investment, and Smilegate Investment—also followed on.
It is notable that both Peak XV and HSG—firms formerly affiliated with Sequoia Capital—invested simultaneously in one company, underscoring global investors’ strong conviction in MarqVision’s growth potential. Both firms are among the world’s largest investment groups, having supported over 200 unicorns across Asia and the U.S., and will actively back MarqVision’s global expansion and market integration.
Shailendra Singh, Managing Partner at Peak XV, commented, “MarqVision has established itself as a leading company in AI-driven brand protection at a time when counterfeiting, impersonation, and piracy threaten brand trust and value. With generative AI increasing threats to corporate IP, MarqVision’s approach is an essential solution for all IP-driven businesses.”
Salesforce Ventures, which joined as a strategic investor, plans to integrate MarqVision’s solutions with Salesforce’s own data, enabling brand customers to measure ROI more precisely and gain actionable insights. Ken Asada, Partner at Salesforce Ventures, said,
“In today’s digital ecosystem, brand IP is the most important yet vulnerable asset. As brand value increasingly determines digital presence and trust, MarqVision occupies a unique position to lead this transformation.”
With this investment, MarqVision has introduced the paradigm of “Brand Control.” This concept goes beyond traditional brand protection against counterfeits and illicit content, instead securing intelligence and management across all digital and physical sales channels. As generative AI accelerates the proliferation of counterfeit goods, unauthorized sales, impersonation, and piracy, MarqVision aims to establish brand and content protection as a core growth strategy rather than a defensive measure.
MarqVision combines AI technology with legal expertise to provide fast and effective brand rights protection. Its flagship product, “Marq AI,” enhances the detection and enforcement of brand threats up to 100 times faster than conventional solutions. Its global trademark filing and management solution, “Marq Folio,” supports businesses with rapid and precise trademark applications and management.
Client companies using MarqVision’s services have achieved an average online revenue growth of 5–10%. Based on clear ROI, many now allocate 0.5–1% of online revenue to brand protection. The customer base has also expanded beyond IP and legal departments to marketing, e-commerce, and online sales teams—now accounting for more than 60% of users—positioning brand control as a strategic growth driver.
Inseob Lee, CEO of MarqVision, stated, “Brand Control is an essential concept for sustainable brand growth. Moving forward, MarqVision will continue to empower brands to actively control and grow their reputation and revenue through AI-driven innovation and IP expertise.”
Since its founding in 2020, MarqVision has expanded into industries including beauty, fashion, luxury, pharmaceuticals, gaming, and entertainment. Earlier this year, the company surpassed an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of approx. $21 million(KRW 30 billion). More recently, it has broadened its service scope to cover unauthorized sales monitoring, live commerce surveillance, and the overall integration of the IP services market.
