Korean startup MEDISBY, a developer of AI-powered rehabilitation robotic arms, has raised seed funding from a fund jointly managed by Yonsei Biohealth Technology Holdings and Regent Partners.

Founded by CEO Jun-Yeol Lim based on his clinical experience at Gangnam Severance Hospital’s orthopedics department, MEDISBY aims to address challenges in manual therapy. Variability in treatment outcomes depending on the therapist and the physical burden caused by repetitive procedures are issues the company seeks to overcome through technology.
In July, MEDISBY was selected for the DeepTech TIPS program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, securing USD 1.1 million(KRW 1.5 billion) in R&D funding over three years.
The company was also recently accepted into NVIDIA’s Inception Program, gaining access to NVIDIA’s technical support and global network to accelerate technology advancement and expand into overseas markets.
CEO Lim stated, “Starting in 2026, we will sequentially launch robotic medical devices tailored to global standards and leverage Physical AI to address fundamental challenges in rehabilitation therapy.”
Meanwhile, Yonsei Biohealth Technology Holdings was established to identify and commercialize advanced bio-medical technologies, while Regent Partners is a specialized venture financing company focused on healthcare and the materials, parts, and equipment (MPE) sector.
