Retentics Secures Series A Bridge II Funding to Scale AI Email Marketing Agent for Global D2C Brands

FridaysLab, the Korean startup behind AI agent–driven marketing platformretentics,” has raised Series A Bridge II funding from Laguna Investment and Smilegate.

‘retentics’ is an AI-powered email marketing platform designed for brands operating their own D2C stores. The platform’s “AI Agent” model automatically analyzes each customer’s purchase timing and needs, and sends hyper-personalized CRM emails for refills, cross-sells, and churn prevention — helping brands generate higher revenue with fewer total sends through email, the most preferred marketing channel among global consumers.

Since its initial launch in the U.S. market in 2023, Retentics has undergone multiple pivots to redefine the core problem it aims to solve. Through extensive interviews with hundreds of U.S. brand marketers, the team identified that once a company reaches a certain growth stage, maximizing revenue from existing customers becomes the critical challenge. Retentics leveraged its strength in predicting individual repurchase timing based on historical customer behavior — combining this with highly accurate product recommendation models within email marketing — and achieved rapid growth.

As a result, Retentics has demonstrated outstanding performance: a 65% sales conversion rate, 100% customer retention rate excluding only two brands, and an average monthly revenue growth rate of 30% over the past 18 months. Its AI-driven strategy — which autonomously optimizes CRM send timing and recommended products — has been praised for boosting total revenue by up to 22% without increasing overall email volume, enabling sustainable customer lifecycle management.

Global D2C brands such as New Balance, Allbirds, and Stumptown Coffee, as well as Korean brands including AmorePacific, Joseon Beauty, Anua, and Coni in the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle sectors, are actively using Retentics to drive revenue growth in international markets.

“This is a significant achievement just three years after our team relocated to the U.S. to go global,” said Retentics CEO Youngjae Lim. “We are building a world where AI becomes a brand’s true growth partner — fully automating both marketing strategy and execution.”

Powered by this latest investment, Retentics plans to further advance its AI marketing models and accelerate global brand expansion. The company will strengthen its U.S. market track record and officially expand its services globally starting in the first half of next year, leveraging its proven technological foundation.
