Mapsea Wins CES 2026 Innovation Award for Second Consecutive Year with AI-Powered Digital Twin Navigation Technology
Mapsea, a maritime big data solution provider, has secured the 2026 CES Innovation Award in the Enterprise Tech category at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, marking its second consecutive year as a CES Innovation Award winner.

The award recognizes Mapsea’s global maritime big data and AI-powered digital twin navigation technology as a breakthrough B2B solution that simultaneously enhances safety, environmental sustainability, and operational efficiency across the maritime industry. Mapsea’s CES 2026 award-winning technology combines RTK (Real-Time Kinematic positioning) and HFD (High Frequency Data) capabilities to integrate and process 150 billion data points from over 2.6 million vessels worldwide, delivering real-time analysis of vessel positions, routes, weather patterns, ocean currents, engine performance, and fuel consumption across global waters.
Leveraging this robust maritime big data infrastructure, Mapsea has developed specialized navigation charts for Arctic routes, optimal route planning through trajectory analysis, and navigation simulation features that account for ice conditions and weather variations, enabling precise decision-making and reliable operations even in challenging polar environments.
Mapsea’s AI-powered digital twin navigation platform features integrated collision avoidance with multi-event detection and automatic alert systems, significantly reducing human errors that contribute to 75% of maritime accidents. The platform also cuts fuel consumption by up to 15% through optimal route analysis while providing comprehensive data-driven monitoring to ensure compliance with international carbon regulations, including the European ETS (Emissions Trading System). Real-world feedback from shipping companies demonstrates a remarkable 24-fold improvement in monitoring efficiency compared to traditional methods, establishing Mapsea as a leading example of innovation that elevates both safety and operational performance in the maritime sector.
Mapsea has established strong global credibility by obtaining AIP technology certification from Korean Register (KR) and forming Korea’s first official partnership with RightShip. The company further demonstrated its technical excellence on the international stage by winning the AI category at the PIER71 Smart Port Challenge 2024, organized by Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) and Nus Enterprise.
At KORMARINE 2025 in Busan, Mapsea’s real-time demonstration booth showcasing Arctic route digital twin technology attracted thousands of visitors and generated considerable industry attention. This latest CES recognition further validates the company’s innovative capabilities on the global stage.
“Winning the CES Innovation Award two years in a row demonstrates that Korean maritime technology is gaining worldwide recognition through our digital twin technology for polar navigation,” said Jisoo Kim, CEO of Mapsea. “We’re committed to becoming the first mover in driving digital transformation across the global maritime industry, including Arctic routes, by advancing the convergence of AI and data analytics.”
Looking ahead, Mapsea will participate as an official partner of ZEBOX, the global accelerator program backed by CMA CGM Group—one of the world’s three largest shipping companies—and will showcase its technology at the CES 2026 Eureka Park. The company plans to deepen its engagement with the global maritime technology ecosystem through these strategic partnerships.
