K-Beauty Brand ‘Ringthebell’ Secures Seed Funding for Global Expansion of Its Innovative Skincare Line
Ringthebell, a Korean beauty brand inspired by traditional Korean culture, has secured a seed investment from Mashup Ventures.

Ringthebell reinterprets Korea’s representative dish, Kimbap, into cosmetics by developing the “Resear Kimbap Roll Mask Pack.” The Resear mask pack innovatively improves usability—it is designed like a rolled Kimbap sheet that users unroll from the forehead downward. The mask contains natural ingredients found in Kimbap, such as laver extract, rice, carrot, and cucumber, as well as Derma-CLERA, offering moisturizing, elasticity, and soothing benefits.
Dr. Jongcheol Kim, CEO of Ringthebell, holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and is a 20-year veteran of the mask pack industry. He previously served as CTO of GENIC, Korea’s first-generation mask pack company, and CEO of Kolmask, a mask pack subsidiary of Kolmar Korea. Dr. Kim has developed multiple mega-hit products, including the famous “Hayumi Pack” hydrogel mask, which achieved over USD 68 million(KRW 100 billion) in sales and produced more than 1.5 billion mask sheets. He also holds over 50 patents related to mask technology.
The Reeser Mask Pack has gained notable traction—launched in Incheon Airport Duty-Free Store, it recorded 2.8 million views through major global influencer channels. Recently, the product received offers from leading Japanese distributors, completed regulatory registrations in Japan, the U.S., and China, and has begun exports to these key markets.
Following the Kimbap Roll Mask, Ringthebell launched a seaweed-themed collagen mask pack and is currently developing a second-generation hydrogel mask that uses Korean traditional fermentation ingredient “Nuruk” to alleviate heat-induced skin aging. The company has demonstrated the efficacy of Nuruk-derived microorganisms in reducing redness and skin temperature, earning selection for the TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Sanghyuk In, Partner at Mashup Ventures, stated, “The beauty industry requires deep understanding across ingredients, manufacturing, and distribution—not just marketing. Ringthebell’s expert team possesses this end-to-end capability, and we expect rapid growth driven by its unique concepts and rising global K-beauty demand.”
CEO Jongcheol Kim added, “With over two decades of mask pack research and manufacturing expertise, we aim to introduce differentiated products rooted in Korean traditional materials and culture, and evolve into a global skincare brand beyond mask packs.”
