Fabricduct Secures $355K Seed Funding and TIPS Selection for HVAC Innovation
Fabricduct, a Korean startup specializing in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), has secured $355,000 USD (500 million KRW) in seed funding from Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (Busan CCEI), Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, and Busan United Technology Holdings. The company has also been selected for the TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup Korea) program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, securing an additional $355,000 USD (500 million KRW) in R&D funding, officially recognizing its technological capabilities and growth potential.

Fabricduct is an HVAC specialized company that possesses unique technology for designing custom airflow control and air circulation based on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and precision flow analysis. The company develops, designs, and manufactures domestic fabric duct systems.
Fabricduct’s TIPS general track R&D project is titled “Development of Fabric Duct HVAC System Design and Simulation Software Based on Thermal Load and Flow Analysis for Carbon and Energy Reduction.” Through the TIPS R&D program, the company plans to automate fabric duct system design and enhance the accuracy of thermal load and flow analysis to complete industry-leading technology for the next-generation air conditioning market.
Busan CCEI, which led this investment round, stated, “Fabricduct is a 2024 Pre-Startup Package graduate company of Busan CCEI. The company is expected to experience rapid growth based on its unique domestic technological capabilities and CFD analysis expertise. We decided to invest because the company accurately identifies pain points in the HVAC market and customers, providing solutions for cost reduction and air control, which positions it for future growth as an HVAC specialized company.”
Sewon Kim, CEO of Fabricduct, expressed, “We are deeply grateful to Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, and Busan United Technology Holdings for their recognition of the need for domestic technology development and their unwavering support. Building on this seed investment and TIPS program support, we will become a K-startup that expands beyond the domestic market into the global eco-friendly HVAC market, leveraging Korea’s only domestic fabric duct technology.”
