Shareit Secures $5.4M to Expand AI-Powered Event Space Platform Across Asia

Shareit, a Korean B2B event space booking platform, has raised $5.4 million (8 billion KRW) in its latest funding round. The investment was led by Korea Development Bank with $2 million (3 billion KRW), joined by Woori Venture Partners at $2 million (3 billion KRW) and IBK Venture Investment at $1.4 million (2 billion KRW). Korea Development Bank returned as a follow-on investor, while Woori Venture Partners and IBK Venture Investment came in as new backers.

The platform has carved out a leading position in Korea’s $2.7 billion (4 trillion KRW) offline event market by digitizing what was traditionally a fragmented, manual booking process. Shareit connects corporate clients with venues ranging from gymnasiums and convention halls to performance spaces, streamlining everything from search to contract. Last year marked a milestone: the company crossed $6.8 million (10 billion KRW) in revenue and turned its first annual profit.

Growth has been particularly strong in popup stores, where Shareit has posted 120% year-over-year gains. Major brands now regularly tap the platform when planning high-profile offline activations. On the supply side, venue owners are increasingly drawn to Shareit’s consignment model, which boosts utilization rates and profitability while reducing operational headaches.

The fresh capital will fuel three main priorities: rolling out AI-powered consultation tools, developing more proprietary venues under consignment agreements, and launching an event commerce offering. The goal is to make Shareit a one-stop shop where brands and planners can handle every aspect of an event—from finding the right space to managing logistics on the day.

To support this expansion, Shareit is hiring technical talent to enhance the platform and business development staff to scale its venue portfolio. The company also plans to cultivate a community of event planners and refine its marketing approach to cement its position in the market. Strategic partnerships with complementary service platforms are on the roadmap as well.

“Shareit has moved beyond simple brokerage,” said a representative from Woori Venture Partners. “They’ve built a data-driven engine that matches supply and demand with precision. What really stood out was their resilience during COVID-19—a period that devastated the space rental industry. They adapted, learned, and kept growing. With their data capabilities and stable B2B revenue model, we see them becoming essential infrastructure for corporate events.”

Sangjun Park, CEO of Shareit, sees the investment as a pivotal moment. “We’re addressing inefficiencies that have plagued the event industry for years and accelerating the digital shift in short-term space rentals. With our matching data and AI capabilities, we’re positioning ourselves to become Asia’s leading lifestyle entertainment platform.”
