Global tech startup Geeks Loft announced on December 4th that its smart headphones ‘Perisphere’ have won the ‘Best of Innovation’ award in the ‘Headphones & Personal Audio’ category at CES 2026, the world’s largest consumer electronics show.

Geeks Loft is a resident company of Pangyo Startup Zone, established by Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development and Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation. Operating under the philosophy of ‘Where Tomorrow Is Created Today,’ the company develops innovative content devices and services.

To address the experience gap between audio-only headphones and cumbersome VR/AR devices, Geeks Loft integrated visual functionality into the familiar headphone form factor. The result is Perisphere, the world’s first smart headphones with visual capabilities, transforming a device that has remained purely audio-focused for over 100 years since its invention in 1910.

The name Perisphere combines ‘Peri’ (surrounding) and ‘Sphere’ (space, world), representing a new world of experience that surrounds the user. Perisphere is an all-in-one smart headphone that wirelessly connects to smartphones, enabling users to listen to music, watch videos, capture their perspective in 3D, and share content in real-time. By delivering both auditory and visual experiences within a single device, it allows users to capture and enjoy daily life in a more immersive way.

Geeks Loft has dedicated the past four years to developing Perisphere. The company refined the product through 10 design iterations and approximately 30 patent applications, validating its quality through testing with over 1,000 users at global exhibitions.
